Who should attend?

The course is aimed at all those progressing into management, or those newly appointed in line management roles. It is aimed specifically at new managers with little previous leadership training.

What is included in the course?
This one day course will develop and support managers in their understanding of leadership principles, style and practice as well as equip them with the basic necessary knowledge and tools to establish themselves well in their management role.

During this course, delegates will explore: 

•  Experiences and traits of managers experienced by candidates.
• Principles of Leadership
• Theories of Leadership
• Leadership styles
• The difference between management and leadership
• Good Management – expectations and support
• Leadership challenges

The course is delivered by a former senior army officer, CEO and contract commissioner with presentations, group discussions and small exercises.

Additional Learning

Skyrocket offers further advanced leadership and management training examining topics such as leadership challenges and “the difficult conversation” for middle managers, right through to those in senior roles examining strategic skills. This training can be further supported by confidential mentoring for up to 6 months, appropriate for those at various stages of their management career including CEO’s and Board members.

The cost of this course is £135 per delegate. 

This course can also be delivered on-site for an individual agency for a cost of £899 per course (max 6 delegates). Individual one to one training is also available, on a confidential basis. Please contact us for more information.
